After nearly a year of research, public input and deliberation, Blueprint Louisiana unveils its five-part reform agenda. Blueprint also begins an initial paid multi-media campaign to build awareness of the organization and reform agenda.
August 2007
Blueprint Louisiana begins to reach out to candidates for legislative and statewide office. Blueprint is asking all candidates to sign a contract, pledging they will work in the Louisiana Legislature to pass the five-part reform agenda.
Blueprint begins to seek endorsements of the reform agenda from key trade, business and nonprofit organizations across the state. The goal is to create a network of supportive organizations, associations and individuals that together represent a decisive mass of support for implementation of the Blueprint Agenda.
Late September 2007
Blueprint Louisiana launches a second phase of paid media advertising to inform citizens which candidates support the Blueprint Agenda and which do not. This effort continues through the primary (October 20) and general election (November 17) dates. The goal is to create a majority of new legislators and statewide officeholders that endorse the Blueprint Agenda.
December 2007
Blueprint Louisiana begins collaboration with elected leaders and supportive organizations to prepare for the 2008 legislative session(s).
Spring 2008
Blueprint Louisiana, working cooperatively with supportive organizations, legislators and the administration, launches a full-scale effort to pass enabling legislation for implementation of its five-part reform agenda.
Blueprint also begins its promised accountability role, developing progress reports on the legislative implementation of the five-part reform agenda.
Blueprint will update and extend this action plan in the Spring of 2008. |
